The HX-5 is a five-part differential haematology analyser designed for mid-sized hospital laboratories, private medical centres and polyclinics. Using laser and flow cytometry technology, it reports 26 parameters and three histograms.
Laboratory workflow
- 80 tests per hour from a 20 µL whole blood sample
- Barcode reader, two-way LIS communication and automatic validation rules
- Daily quality control (Levey-Jennings chart) and memory for 100,000 results
- A closed system and automatic cleaning that reduce reagent consumption

Installation and consumables
Installation takes half a day. Reagent, control and calibrator kits are delivered through the cold chain on a monthly plan. Under the rental model a back-up device is installed within 24 hours of a fault.
